According to Tito Rajarshi Mukhopadhyay, writing poetry does not make him any poet. Still he continues to write poems simply for the joy of writing. In I'm Not a Poet but I Write Poetry, he shares a selection of prose featuring his best works, which will appeal to poetry or literary enthusiasts.

The author started writing at the age of six, beginning with basic - 'line rhyming with the next line' - sort of poetry. It became his medium of expression as he was not able to speak like other children. When he was young, he did not know much about the rules of poetry, which limited him to writing rhymes and scattered lines. He got a chance to learn more about poetry writing from Prof. Ralph Savarese, which made a difference and allowed him to view himself and his poetry in a different way.

“My intention behind this book is not highlighting the condition of Autism because I am not an expert and neither am I an advocate although some poems are chosen from my perspective of Autism. I just want to share my words hoping that it would make me feel useful as a human being beyond any label if my words happen to make autism look a little friendlier than what it is thought of,” shares the author.

As readers immerse in I'm Not a Poet but I Write Poetry, they will find a short background before each poem, revealing the inspiration for that particular work. The stark black and white photos included in this collection provide the perfect foil especially for those sparse words that manage to convey more with less. Readers will find themselves riveted from the first page until the very last.
