I am pleased with our performance over the last three years. The Jumpstart program pushes entrepreneurs to deliver 18 months of progress inside one intense 14-week experience." - Vic Gatto, Partner for Solidus Company.

Nashville-based tech business accelerator Jumpstart Foundry has opened its application process and is now accepting competitive applications from entrepreneurial teams interested in participating in the JSF 2013 program. The application form may be found on the JSF website: http://jumpstartfoundry.com.

Competition for last year’s cohort was robust, with over 100 tech-oriented businesses from 27 different cities and 8 countries competing for only 10 seats. “Each year both the number and quality of applicants has grown,” said Marcus Whitney, chief technology officer for Moontoast and one of Jumpstart Foundry’s managing directors. “Given the program’s established track record of success for our graduates, I’m excited to see the group this year.”

JSF's 2012 program accelerated the growth of ten startups and built on the overall Jumpstart Foundry track record of success. Like other national accelerators, JSF rates its success in part on the number of graduate companies that are able to raise capital or boot-strap operations without additional capital. Over the first three years of the program, JSF has achieved a very strong 65% success rate. Thirteen JSF alumni have raised follow-on capital and are building operations. These results combined with a rigorous program refined over multiple years, a deep mentor pool and affiliation with the Global Accelerator Network position Jumpstart Foundry as one of the top accelerators in the United States.

JSF’s diverse and experienced mentor pool helps the program stand out among its peers with 37% of mentors holding an executive position, 38% planning to hire at least five employees during the next calendar year, and 62% owning businesses themselves.

“I am pleased with our performance over the last three years. The Jumpstart program pushes entrepreneurs to deliver 18 months of progress inside one intense 14-week experience,” said Vic Gatto, Partner for Solidus Company and another of JSF’s managing directors. “JSF has a a solid curriculum in place and we are always observing other programs and adapting industry best practices for our own use. Look for several additions to the core program before the kickoff in May.”
