Estelle Harris, who played George’s memorable mother on Seinfeld, has just signed with executive producer Neil Gordon to star as a TV court judge, in the half hour comedy “Legally Grandma.”

The show follows the on-camera and behind-the-scenes rigors of an 80-something retired civil court judge who becomes a TV court judge. To compound the fun, her two divorced daughters and three grand children move in with her.

The show is currently looking for a home and Gordon, also the show’s creator, is confident it will land a network deal soon. “With Estelle Harris and her huge following,
I am confident we will be successful.” When asked of the choice of Harris as the star, Gordon quipped, “Estelle has razor sharp comedic instincts, she’s well known, and how many more things can Betty White do at once!”
