From author James E. Wimes, a retired military man and educator, Servicemen Have It Tough is an inspiring an entertaining autobiography that offers a whole new meaning to the mundane, oftentimes obscene word. Dedicated to the many men and women of the United States Armed Services—the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard—Wimes’ newly published book is also literary work that honors all these heroic servicemen and women.

This book was penned to tell the life story of Wimes, a United States Military Service personnel for over 26 years. Its title, is eye-catching to the average American. For some reason, Americans have a fascination for profanity. When readers open this book, they will realize why Wimes feels that Servicemen Have It Tough.

This book tells the story of his life from August 1962 to the present. Although he retired from active duty on February 22, 1989, you will see how his military career continues to impact him until today. It tells the entire story of his life, loves, friends, and experiences spanning more than 40 years. Some of the stories are funny, some are serious but above all, they are true.

Funny, intriguing, and more importantly, eye-opening, Servicemen Have It Tough is Wimes’ creative tribute not only to his fellow service persons who put their lives on the line to protect the American way of life, but also to their families who paid the ultimate price for America.
