Ms. Herrera will be responsible for advising corporate and law firm clients on matters pertaining to global litigation, eDiscovery preparation, compliance, risk management, case management, and technology utilization. Ms. Herrera has a proven track record bridging the communication gap between legal and IT while solving legal challenges, managing costs, and evaluating risks associated with electronic discovery, global security, and data management.

Prior to joining eTERA Consulting, Ms. Herrera served in key technology and strategic roles at a top 100 global law firm including the position of Global Chief Information and Technology Officer. During her successful tenure at Patton Boggs LLP, Ms. Herrera oversaw all aspects of computer forensics, electronic discovery, litigation support services and investigations including the hiring and training of technologists, managers, paralegals and consultants. She also served as senior technical advisor to counsel, government entities, and top corporate clients on risk management, capital ventures, mergers and acquisitions, network consolidation, security, cloud computing, SaaS, outsourcing and data management strategies. Ms. Herrera was also responsible for the management and retention policies of all electronic and paper documents firm wide. In addition, Ms. Herrera was instrumental in founding the firm’s global university offering professional development tracks for over 1200 global legal professionals and administrative personnel.
Ms. Herrera is a frequent guest speaker for Radio America on such topics as technology and business strategies. She is the co-author of “The Twelve Steps of eDiscovery Manual.” Ms. Herrera has spoken on numerous management and technology topics at Computerworld, Microsoft Women’s Convention, and the Microsoft Conference for top U.S. law schools. She serves as Executive Officer on the Legal Technology Council Group and is affiliated with numerous other technical and legal organizations. Ms. Herrera is fluent in both English and Spanish.
