The Rice University Business Plan Competition is the world’s richest and largest graduate-level business plan competition. The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, through the Rice University Business Plan Competition, helps entrepreneurs launch their businesses. The competition provides the opportunity for teams to pitch their business plans to solicit venture funding to over 250 investors and other judges. Teams present new business ventures in the areas of life sciences, information technology, energy, green tech, social and other technologies and compete for over $1 million in prizes.
The event takes place April 11-13, 2013 on the Rice University campus. Gimmal executives, David Quackenbush, Mike Alsup, Cynthia Wood, and Becky Thomas, will be part of the judging of over 1200 applications. All teams will present within the 3 day period and awards are granted in an evening gala.
