Ever felt confined in a self-imposed cage? Author Barbara Anne Rose says that holding on to anger, resentment or preconceived notions causes spiritual blocks that prevent growth. Rose tells how she overcame the seemingly insurmountable hurdles of emotional, physical and sexual abuse in order to find spiritual strength in her book, “Angel Works: Soaring from Abuse to Love, Forgiveness and Enlightenment.”
“My strength came when I realized that, in order to truly be free, I had to have spiritual love first for myself and then for the perpetrators,” Rose says. “That is what I want to help readers realize-- that you don’t have to reach rock bottom in order to change and forgive. You only have to open yourself and build a relationship with your Spirit.”
In the book, Rose tells her life story, punctuated by sexual, mental and emotional abuse by her father and ex-husband. She helps readers live and thrive as spiritual beings by guiding them to connect with their divinity. She also offers practical tips to connecting with Spirit and learning from angels in human form.
“It is my desire to help people begin to realize that they are a spiritual being inside a body,” Rose says. “This being can help them make better decisions, cope with and celebrate emotions and ultimately achieve the spiritual well-being they desire.”
