The new State Police app ("See Something, Send Something") allows people to send a report through text or photo.

Harrisburg, PA (PRWEB) January 14, 2013

Police.us.org announces that the Pennsylvania State Police have released a new smartphone app to help keep residents safe. Through this new terrorism-report app, anyone can report suspicious activity to authorities.

The new State Police app ("See Something, Send Something") allows people to send a report through text or photo. The report is then sent directly to the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center.

The tips are then analyzed by investigators and are assigned out to be evaluated as seen fit. The system will allow the Criminal Intelligence Center to get information from the reporters without tracking location or storing any personal information.

The new "See Something, Send Something" app is available for all smartphone users (Apple and Android). The app also includes valuable information on what to look for and when to send a report of suspicious terrorist-like behavior.

Police.us.org commends the state of Pennsylvania for their innovative leap in technological reporting and hopes other states will follow suit.
