The Nursing Home Complaint Center says, "We need every family member, or loved one of a nursing home patient in the United States to be vigilant about bed sores, or pressure sores, and we want a family to have a standing order with the nursing home that they are to be contacted immediately if bed sores are found on their nursing home patient loved one. Also, if a loved one is sent from a nursing home, or rehab center to a hospital ER, or is now in a hospital ICU, we want the family to ask if sepsis, or septic shock has been diagnosed by the attending physicians." If a family member, or loved one has died in a US nursing home from sepsis, or now has sepsis, or is in septic shock please call the Nursing Home Complaint Center at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via their web site at http://NursingHomeComplaintCenter.Com

Important Note from the Nursing Home Complaint Center to all adult children, or relatives of a nursing home, or rehab facility patient: "Please have a very responsible family member with a medical power of attorney in place, in the event something unforeseen happens to a nursing home, or rehab facility patient. Even if the nursing home patient, or rehab facility patient has all of their cognitive facilities, if something out of the blue happens we want the family to have the ability to immediately step in. We are also urging all families to have a standing order with the nursing home, or the rehab facility that they are to be contacted immediately if bed sores are discovered on the nursing home, or rehab facility patient-loved one." http://NursingHomeComplaintCenter.Com

The Nursing Home Complaint Center is narrowly focused on nursing home, or rehab center patients who have been diagnosed with sepsis, septic shock, and or pressure sores/pressure ulcers. The group says, "We believe in most instances sepsis, or septic shock are preventable, and in most instances we consider sepsis, or septic shock extreme negligence on the part of a nursing home, or rehab center. Our biggest problem is increasing public awareness about sepsis infections, or septic shock, because we fear most families have not heard of these types of infections, nor would the family recognize these as the main reason, or a contributing factor in an unnecessary death for a nursing home, or rehab facility patient." http://NursingHomeComplaintCenter.Com
