Right now, we have about 3.7 million jobs open with a hire rate (3.2%) that stayed the same in the month of November (2013). We’re simply not filling those jobs fast enough and the US economy is suffering from it.

Human Alliance Ltd, one of Washington, DC’s top Management Consultants specializing in HR issues, reports that the recent bureau of labor statistics numbers on total US economy jobs numbers could be a cause for stagnation.
“Right now, we have about 3.7 million jobs open with a hire rate (3.2%) that stayed the same in the month of November (2013). We’re simply not filling those jobs fast enough and the US economy is suffering from it,” Joe Shaheen, Founder and Managing Principal of the Human Alliance Ltd. explains.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics also lists the separation rate, which is set at 3.1% and which was also unchanged in the month of November. The separation rate describes voluntary and other types of separations, which are not due to layoffs or similar events.
The job openings measure, which accounts for about 4.13 million job openings has remained roughly the same for much of 2012, and forecasts put it at about the same for the start of calendar year 2013—a sign of an unchanging labor market.
“We’ll have to wait and see some of the numbers for the overall economy at the start of 2013. Those numbers will help to shed some light on the overall performance of the job market,” said Shaheen.
The Human Alliance Ltd. plans to release its own forecast early in February for the first and second quarter of calendar year 2013.
