After a rigorous competitive analysis, Harris Teeter, Inc. has selected AccessVia Web dSignShop SaaS for printing in-store shelf-edge signs. Web dSignShop SaaS is deployed via an enterprise cloud-computing model and delivers the best of both worlds to retailers: sophisticated and scalable signing systems without the hassle of operating the technology.
Harris Teeter has been self-hosting Web dSignShop since 2004, relying on internal IT resources to operate and run the system. Looking to simplify IT processes, the retailer began evaluating other options. With Web dSignShop SaaS, implementation, maintenance and support services are handled by AccessVia, minimizing the involvement of a retail organizations’ IT staff and technical infrastructure.
“It’s very exciting for us,” says Dean A. Sleeper, TVP & CEO of AccessVia, “because Harris Teeter already had the benefits of our publishing platform yet saw enormous incremental benefit from adopting the SaaS version. The reduction of effort, increase in responsiveness, and overall flexibility is why every new implementation of our platform this past year was SaaS. Harris Teeter is among many of our existing customers who choose to migrate to SaaS for those compelling advantages.”
Harris Teeter also wanted to improve store associates’ efficiency while working in the aisles. With the newly updated AccessVia Mobile In-Aisle extension, store associates will use handheld devices and scan product barcodes in the aisle to create replacement shelf tags and signs.
Web dSignShop SaaS is one of the many powerful tools in the AccessVia Publishing Platform. The AccessVia Publishing Platform gives retailers control over all aspects of designing, publishing, managing, and measuring shelf-edge product merchandising. With AccessVia, retailers seamlessly deliver print and digital promotions to stores for immediate availability or to central print service providers for high-speed production. Stores can re-print from centrally produced batches. The same system produces digital signs and ESLs -- ensuring consistency across all customer touch points. To measure the success of promotions and understand store activity, the platform can also deliver analysis and reports of store activity and provide intelligence on how promotions impacted sales.
Retailers surveyed in the 2012 RIS Software LeaderBoard gave AccessVia consistent and overwhelming high marks –- placing the company in twenty-two top ten lists for customer satisfaction, performance, ease of installation/integration, quality of support and service, total cost of operations, return on investment, technology integration, product reliability, and was listed as a company that retailers would recommend.
