This year, countless people made a New Years resolution to improve their personal finances. There are lots of ways that people can get a better handle on their finances, and some people will need to work harder towards making loan payments, some will need to consolidate credit card payments, and some will eliminate regular luxury items from their shopping list like the daily cappuccino.
To help all of these people along with their New Years resolutions, My VoIP Provider has released a list of the four top ways that people can work towards improving their personal finances by switching to VoIP. VoIP, the technology behind Internet phoning, is a great choice for anyone, as VoIP offers a reliable landline phone service with prices that are a fraction of those charged by traditional telephone companies.
But for people undergoing financial difficulty, a switch to VoIP can be an important step in the search for ways to save money. It’s easy to trade out an old phone service for a VoIP service, and once that step is done, there are lots of ways that customers can expect to see savings with VoIP.
1.) Monthly phone bills as low as $5
Residential VoIP services are incredibly cheap, with monthly prices dipping as low as $4.99 with provider Phone Power. Most VoIP providers offer unlimited calling in the US, so there won’t be any per minute charges on top of those monthly fees. With a plan from Phone Power, a customer would pay $4.99 every month, and that’s it.
2.) No fees for installation, setup, or cancellation
Though this is not a hard-and-fast rule for every VoIP provider, many VoIP providers offer no-charge installation and setup. Business VoIP services are more likely to have associated fees than residential services. There is very little setup associated with most VoIP services, especially for homes and small businesses, so the installation process is minimally invasive and fast.
And most providers don’t charge fees for service cancellation. For customers who have signed on for yearly or multi-year plans and want to cancel, they will likely have to finish paying out the contract, but there will be no additional fees. Customers also have the option of choosing monthly service plans with many providers. This means that it is easy to cancel service at the end of any given month, so customers can sign up for service without fear of repercussion.
3.) Cheap international calling rates
International calling is very cheap with VoIP providers, often around $0.01/minute to many popular locations. By way of comparison, with many traditional service providers, prices can range as high as $4/minute.
Many providers also offer special deals like 60 free minutes of international calling every month, or unlimited calling to certain international destinations.
4.) Easy integration
It is easy to setup VoIP in any home or office, and customers may even be able to incorporate some of the hardware and equipment that they already have. Customers will need digital phones or analog telephone adapters (ATAs) for their old analog phones in order to get their VoIP system working properly, but many top VoIP providers offer equipment at no extra cost, or at a very low sales or rental fee.
