e-Builder, the pioneer in fully integrated, cloud-based construction program management software announced today that the New York State University Construction Fund (Fund) will use e-Builder Enterprise as the system for scheduling, budget management and fiscal forecasting at both the project and program levels.
The Fund provides planning, design and construction services for the State University of New York (SUNY), the largest public university system in the country. e-Builder Enterprise will provide the Fund with an integrated solution enabling Fund Professionals to collect key project information, track progress, analyze status, manage activity and obtain comprehensive reports at the project and program level. The single system will allow the Fund to streamline processes, improve efficiency, provide SUNY with shared access to project and program information, and facilitate communication for all users.
Arthur Foo, Director of Capital Procurement states, “e-Builder was selected by the Fund after a competitive process using a best value analysis which included the evaluation of technical and cost components.”
About the Fund
The State University Construction Fund is a public benefit corporation established by Chapter 251 of the Laws of 1962. The Fund is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three members appointed by the Governor, one of whom must be a State University Trustee. Members other than the State University Trustee are also confirmed by the Senate.
Pursuant to its enabling statute, the purposes of the Fund are: “…to provide academic buildings, dormitories and other facilities for the State-operated institutions and contract and statutory colleges under jurisdiction of the State University, to reduce the time lag between determination of need for such facilities and actual occupancy thereof, to expedite the construction, acquisition, reconstruction and rehabilitation or improvement of such facilities and to assure that the same are ready for the purposes intended when needed and when scheduled under the approved master plan of the State University…” (New York State Education Law, Section 372).
