Local workshop to help non-profit organizations explore social media as a marketing platform

St. Louis, Mo. (PRWEB) January 17, 2013

To help non-profit organizations explore social media as a powerful marketing platform as well as a tool to drive positive action from supporters, Master Your Card – Missouri will sponsor a local workshop as part of the Social: IRL conference series. The event will take place on Tuesday, January 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the St. Louis Community College Corporate College at 3221 McKelvey Road Bridgeton, MO 63144.

Missouri is home to both MasterCard’s global technology campus and more than 2,100 non-profits, with more than 10 percent of these organizations located in the St. Louis area. The Social:IRL event brings together local and regional nonprofit organizations to focus on how they can integrate social media in their marketing, communications and consumer outreach.

Attendees will also learn through expert-led sessions covering important issues such as:

  • Developing an effective social media strategy
  • Monitoring and measurement
  • Building and managing an online community
  • Using electronic payment technologies for safe and secure online transactions
