California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) announced an upcoming information session for the Meeting and Event Planning Certificate Program. Those interested in learning more about the certificate program are invited to attend the information session on Wednesday, January 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the CSUSM Temecula Campus in Room 103.
Students who enroll in the event planning certificate program will learn practical tips, tools and techniques that can be used to effectively plan professional-level events from meetings and conferences to weddings, and more.
The program focuses on providing information to San Diego area event planners. Students can attend individual courses as desired or complete the entire program and earn a certificate of completion. The full program takes approximately one semester to complete.
Courses are taught by certified San Diego area professionals with skills and experience in the field. These industry professionals understand the many complex, behind-the-scene elements required for a successful event, and are excited to share their knowledge with students in each course. Courses include: Food and Beverage Essentials, Event Marketing, Planning Non-Profit Events, Wedding Planning for Planners, and more.
The free information session will give students the opportunity to learn about the program and ask questions in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Upcoming information sessions also include opportunities to learn about CSUSM’s BS in Kinesiology and RN-BSN degree programs.
