San Marcos, CA (PRWEB) January 21, 2013
California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) will be offering a free information session for those interested in learning more about their Digital Arts Certificate Program. The session will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on January 23, 2013.
CSUSM’s Digital Arts program focuses on teaching students essential web page design, graphic design, and other skills that can be used in advertising and other industries. The program is also useful for professionals responsible for managing company websites or looking to improve their visual communications skills. Through hands-on practice in small classes, students will learn a variety of techniques, including brochure and advertising design, electronic illustration, and more. The program utilizes contemporary design software to ensure that each student will gain the necessary skills for a modern workplace.
Two tracks are available for students entering the program: Web Page Design Certificate and Computer Graphics and Design Certificate. Students interested in taking the courses for both programs can earn both certificates at a discounted rate. In total, 10 courses are available through the Digital Arts Program offered by CSUSM Extended Learning. Single courses also are available.
All program courses take place on Saturdays at the San Marcos campus. Most courses can be completed in a single day, and the full program can be completed in approximately one semester. Available courses include: Advanced Photoshop, Introduction to Adobe Illustrator, Entering the Design Field, Introduction to Flash and more.
Those interested in attending the session are encouraged to RSVP in advance either online at http://www.csusm.edu/el or by calling 760-750-4020. Future information sessions will include updates on CSUSM’s ABSN program, BSBA program, and other San Diego degree programs.
