Brightway Insurance, a leading national independent insurance retailer franchise, finished 2012 well above anticipated financial results.

Brightway Insurance’s sales grew from $168 million to $257 million between 2011 and 2012, after ending 2010 at $108 million. The company’s impressive fifty-two percent growth in 2012 came organically, not through acquisitions.

“Brightway ended the year above our goal of $240 million in sales,” said Brightway CEO David Miller. “Customers are realizing that with Brightway they can purchase and maintain their insurance policies with a retailer that offers many different brands instead of one, without having to sacrifice convenience.”

Brightway has more than 600 associates across seven states and more than 115 insurance stores. The company’s headquarters has 130 employees who work as part of both back office support and Brightway corporate.

Brightway expanded its presence as an insurance retailer into four new states in 2012. The company expects to open 50 new franchise stores in 2013, and Brightway is slated to hire more than 50 employees at its Florida headquarters.

Entrepreneur magazine recently recognized Brightway as the #1 insurance agency franchise on its list of the top 500 franchises.
