In this edge-of-your-seat thriller, Luepke tells the story of Josie Buchannon, an advertising executive who finds herself at the wrong place at the wrong time. Josie is forced to leave her home in upstate New York and the job she loves when she’s assaulted by a knife-welding madman. In a new city, she dedicates herself to rebuilding her life, but just when she begins to feel normal again – enter: the FBI. Josie’s former boss has been murdered and the bureau needs her help to find the assailant. While Josie’s former boss was less than kind while alive, Josie helps the bureau flush out his murderer.
No stranger to office politics, Luepke imbues her story with real-life antics. “The book is based on a real life office setting with actual conversations that have taken place.”
