Game and simulation software leader, GameSim, showed impressive growth in 2012. GameSim grossed $2.7 million in 2012, an increase of 108% from 2011. The software leader also added nine full-time employees. GameSim is an employee-owned company, founded and bootstrapped in 2008 by Andrew Tosh. Tosh has extensive experience in both the entertainment and military simulation industries and understood where products and services could straddle those domains. “This is an exciting time for GameSim,” said Founder and President, Andrew Tosh.
Much of GameSim’s growth in 2012 is the result of expanded relationships with existing customers like Electronic Arts and SAIC. GameSim also established new and noteworthy customers in 2012. This includes NASA, SE Core CVE (a US Army program for providing terrain databases for simulation and training) and the National Defense University. “The expansion of our involvement with high profile customers, and our growing customer base demonstrates the strength of GameSim’s business model,” Tosh said.
GameSim also expanded to service the GIS market with the release of a new product: Conform. Conform is a cross-platform tool for viewing, editing and analyzing GIS data. This tool will fill a gap in the GIS market for tools that are able to meet the high performance requirements of modern GIS users. GameSim’s expertise in the fields of GIS, military simulation and entertainment products provide a unique background for designing and implementing a tool that new and experienced GIS users will find effective. Andrew Tosh said, “Launching our own product has created a lot of enthusiasm for our future as a company.”
