About The Tampa Bay Lightning
The Tampa Bay Lightning are about to embark on their 20th season in the National Hockey League. After entering the league in 1992 as an expansion team, the Lightning slowly built themselves into a championship caliber team through the years. In 2004, the club won their first Stanley Cup behind NHL stars Dave Andreychuk, Brad Richards, Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis. Currently the Bolts are piecing together another championship contender that includes one of the NHL’s brightest stars, Steven Stamkos. The Lightning’s first overall pick in the 2008 Draft, Stamkos led the NHL last season with 60 goals, which also set a Lightning team record.
