Similar to the explosive growth of social media, employees are embracing social enterprise tools and creating user-generated content at a rapid-fire pace. With this in mind, ThoughtFarmer designed a new archiving feature for their upcoming release. Archiving allows users to “hide” content that they consider ROTten (redundant, outdated, and trivial) with one click. Intranet managers have special access to quickly identify and instantly archive large volumes of content, based on how infrequently it has been accessed. Once archived, content can still be easily accessed and searched, without disrupting the regular flow of intranet information.
