Tolland, CT (PRWEB) January 22, 2013
Doll Clothes Superstore is proud to announce its support of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team in Training (TNT) program. Sarah Jane, daughter of Doll Clothes Superstore’s owner Mary Ann Walsh, has Lupus and is participating in the society’s TNT program for her second consecutive year. Since 1988, Team in Training has been raising money towards cures for blood cancers. Last year, Sarah Jane ran in the 2012 Boston Marathon and raised an impressive $8,500 for the cause to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. Sarah Jane is running again in the 2013 Boston Marathon on April 15th and hopes to raise even more money for this important cause.
Doll Clothes Superstore is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of everyone who is affected by these diseases. As a way of showing thanks and appreciation to customers who make a minimum of a $6.00 tax deductible donation to Sarah Jane’s TNT donation page, Doll Clothes Superstore will send each contributor an adorable doll clothes jumper and blouse outfit. The jumpers are available in three different varieties: blue floral print, red floral print and blue and raspberry floral print. By itself, the jumper makes the perfect summer sundress. Add the blouse and you have a perfect outfit for your little girls’ doll to wear any time of year. The first 150 contributors will be able to select their jumper color of preference. After the first 150, each consecutive person that donates will still receive a doll clothes dress in a different variety.
When making an online donation, each donor should write in the comment saying they are a Doll Clothes Superstore fan and also list their first, second and third jumper color choice. The doll clothes will be mailed to the address listed in the donation. If a contributor prefers to make a donation anonymously, Doll Clothes Superstore will not receive their address information and will not be able to send the doll clothes outfit.
“Doll Clothes Superstore is proud to show our support of this extremely worthy cause by giving away doll clothes jumpers and blouses to each person who donates a minimum of $6.00 to Sarah Jane’s Team in Training page. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has made a tremendous impact in our lives and in the lives of countless others as well, and we are happy to be playing a role in finding a cure for these diseases,” said Mary Ann Walsh of Doll Clothes Superstore.
About Leukemia & Lymphoma Society:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
About Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program:
Team In Training (TNT) began in 1988, when Bruce Cleland of Rye, NY formed a team that raised funds and trained to run the New York City Marathon in honor of Cleland's daughter Georgia, a leukemia survivor.
The team of 38 runners raised $322,000 for LLS's Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter. Because of the pioneering efforts of Cleland and the Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter, Team In Training was born and has grown into the world's largest endurance sports training program. Cleland was honored by Runner's World magazine in 2004 as one of their "Heroes of Running" for his role in establishing TNT.
Join the more than 40,000 runners, walkers, cyclists, hikers and triathletes who will participate in the world's major marathons, triathlons, hiking adventures and century rides this year on behalf of LLS.
