The Pop-A-Lock branded Mini ClubVan is making its way across the country. With a trip that started in San Francisco and then to Los Angeles, the ClubVan will complete its journey in Detroit at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. The show is going on now through January 27.
Ed Wochaski, owner of Pop-A-Lock of Macomb, MI partnered with Mini Cooper to make this happen. A representative for Mini Cooper contacted Mr. Wochaski explaining that the company was searching for a local business to help promote the new Club Mini for 2013 as a fleet vehicle.
The ClubVan has a 1.6 L engine with 121 hp. The cargo area features 32.8 cubic feet with seats down, 12 volt sockets and attachment loops to secure cargo. The company’s efforts to promote the ClubVan will attract the attention of companies looking for a fleet vehicle that’s easy on gas – the ClubVan gets 35 mph on the highway, with 26 mpg in the city which means you should be able to go about 462 miles between fill ups.
Mr. Wochaski said, “We filled out the application and sent it to Germany where they approved Pop-A-Lock to appear on the vehicle. I’d like to thank everyone who helped to coordinate the completion of this vehicle at Pop-A-Lock of Macomb, SystemForward America, Mini Cooper North America, and Mini Cooper Germany.”
You can see the Pop-A-Lock branded Mini ClubVan currently at the North American International Auto Show thru January 27.
