GNAX Health, a leading healthcare technology infrastructure and application delivery service provider, announced today the addition of Frankie Rios as its new Vice President of Information Security & Compliance. Frankie will oversee and implement the company's information security, privacy and compliance program, ensuring that GNAX's security and compliance technologies and processes adhere to all appropriate industry standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, PCI, MAR, FISMA, FDA and SSAE.

Frankie has over 20 years of experience in information security. Twelve of those years were spent working within the healthcare industry, providing him with a broad knowledge of healthcare operations, networking technologies and the expertise to coordinate and secure IT systems for healthcare providers. He is a veteran in the areas of Enterprise Security and Risk Management, Policy, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI Data Security Standards and Meaningful Use. On the value that he will bring to GNAX Health, Frankie stated, "I bring information security expertise and business acumen into all decisions. Information security needs to be transparent throughout the organization, not a hindrance."
Prior to joining GNAX Health, Frankie was the Director of Information Security, Ethics and Compliance for the east Florida division of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services. During that time, he developed and implemented information security strategy including policies, procedures, technology research and development. Prior to this, Frankie worked at HCA Healthcare as a Director of Information Security Architecture, Manager of Security Engineering and a Senior Security Engineer.
Prior to joining HCA Healthcare, Frankie spent sixteen years in the United States Marine Corps as a Senior Network Engineer, Trainer and Supervisor.
Frankie was a member of the Tennessee chapter of HIMSS, serving as the Medical Device Security Work Group Chair and MDS/2 re-write co-chair, as well as a member of the Privacy and Steering Committee.
Frankie has been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2002. He holds a BS in Business from Strayer University.
