Phantom`s retractable screens blend the best of both worlds, providing shade and ventilation at the touch of the button and at the same time staying out of sight when not in use.
ABBOTSFORD, B.C. (PRWEB) January 22, 2013
It does not happen often that a building captures not only all the modern comforts and conveniences, but also follows green design principles and blends with the landscape and environment around it. The New American Home® (TNAH) in Henderson, Nevada does all that while showcasing latest building products and innovative construction technologies.
Phantom Screens is excited to announce that among the products selected for 2013 TNAH are nine recessed Executive motorized retractable screens. The screens, which are fully integrated into the home's Crestron home automation system, deliver comfort while reducing energy costs from air conditioning and create a truly flexible living space.
Esther de Wolde, CEO of Phantom Screens, notes that “We are very proud to have been selected to participate in The New American Home project. It is our seventh year to provide Phantom's retractable screens for this program and we are thrilled to be able to show how our screens can preserve those spectacular Nevada views and offer protection from sun and insects when in use.”
The New American Home is constructed annually as a centerpiece for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders' Show, displaying design trends, construction techniques, and materials that the building industry can use in any new or remodeled home. Designed and built by Blue Heron, a leading Las Vegas based design build firm, TNAH is a stunning 6721 square foot home on four levels. The home features an “end-to-end network solution” from Crestron that provides the wiring infrastructure for all the home`s technology – including controlling the Executive motorized retractable screens.
“The combination of Phantom's screens and the water features installed in The New American Home creates an aesthetic focal point and cools the home when the sun is shining. The natural cooling effect reduces the home`s dependency on air conditioning and thereby helps to lower energy use,” notes Ron Somers, Phantom Screens vice president of sales and marketing. He adds, “Our screens blend the best of both worlds, providing shade and ventilation at the touch of the button and at the same time staying out of sight when not in use.”
Registered attendees at the 2013 International Builders’ Show can tour the home daily during the show from January 22 to 24 via free shuttle buses (ticket required) departing every half hour from the Las Vegas Convention Center.
