In Stay Safe Author Antony Vitale speaks with honesty from behind the heart shield, the badge that law enforcers wear over the heart. He doles out his measured opinion on the life he has led as a dedicated law enforcement and public safety officer. Where others may see cynicism, Vitale speaks from the guts of all those who lay their lives on the line to make all Americans feel safe in the comfort of their homes.
Vitale evaluates his life with precision, proves the basic goodness of his moral foundation beyond reasonable doubt. He admits to being a true blue policeman, with a policeman’s heart and soul. These things are leaven to the amazing depth of knowledge about the law and the ramifications of the police and security structure of the United States that he has under his belt. He analyzes the principles underpinning police culture with various instances of police operations, of solving crime, of examinations of conscience which happen after blood has been spilled in the interest of the law.
The book covers a period in time when the author was in law enforcement. It tells of his time on the streets and what he encountered from day to day: the deaths, shootings, stabbings, robberies, and police corruption. The book describes the effects all of these had on the author’s personal and professional life. The book is very graphic as to the way it describes incidents throughout. The names have been changed as to not identify and persons living or deceased and the book is written with such openness of thought and heart that readers can very well imagine Antony Vitale telling his compelling tale face to face in a safe place over coffee and donuts.
