“Our members recognize IMS offers very efficient and convenient access to leading-edge business thinkers,” said IMS Charlotte Chairman Gregg Fauceglia, “they are looking forward to this seminar.”
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) January 24, 2013
Commonly abbreviated as “VUCA,” this seminar will be one of many IMS-sponsored seminars on management and leadership in a rapidly changing corporate environment. The purpose of these seminars is to provide managers and executives with insights into new ideas and concepts their organizations need to improve their effectiveness and find solutions for 21st century business challenges.
This seminar, geared toward middle and senior management, will address the need to rethink and abandon many of the command-and-control notions of leadership learned in more predictable, straight-line conditions. Understanding the dynamics of change, developing an agile and innovative organization that can make sense of the ambiguities and respond immediately, getting clear about where you are going, and communicating the story of that future are the four keys to effective leadership in these conditions.
During this session participants will explore the latest research on the neuroscience of change and how the brain attempts to make sense of complex situations. Participants will also explore the skills, behaviors, and best practices that improve their leadership effectiveness in times of rapid change, unpredictable outcomes, intricate marketplace dynamics, and fuzzy intelligence.
Conducting the seminar will be Steven Zeisler, the founder and director of consulting firm Zeisler Associates, Inc. Mr. Zeisler offers a world-class experience portfolio running startup businesses, coaching, developing software, and writing numerous pieces on creative leadership. Noted clients of his services include Alcoa, Marriott, Nestlé, and the US Air Force. Mr. Zeisler co-authored the book The Managers Handbook for Virtual Teams and still works to help leaders unleash the talent and creativity of their organization
