Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) January 28, 2013
Halstrom Academy, Southern California’s premier private education institution, has announced that it will hold an open house at its newest location in Woodland Hills. The open house will take place at Halstrom Academy’s new campus, located at 21800 Oxnard Street, Ste. 270 in Warner Center Plaza, on Thursday, February 7, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Halstrom Academy currently has five locations throughout San Diego and Orange County, including Anaheim Hills, Carlsbad, Huntington Beach, Mission Viejo, and San Diego. The Woodland Hills campus is its first location in Los Angeles County and has started accepting enrollments earlier this month.
“We look forward to meeting local families, introducing them to our teachers and showing them our state-of-the-art educational facility with 1:1 teaching stations, science lab, computer café, and two student lounges located in the Warner Center office towers,” says Mr. Ade Ayinde, Regional Director of Los Angeles. “Parents and their kids will be able to see that our school provides a small, safe and caring environment where no student is ever left behind,” he adds.
In addition, families who attend may enter to win $750 in Halstrom dollars to be used towards tuition, technology, apparel or fees.
Founded in 1985, Halstrom has quickly gained notoriety throughout Southern California for its unique and successful teaching model. Based on its philosophy that in education “one size does not fit all” and that students have different learning skill levels, needs, challenges and schedules, the school offers tailored one-on-one sessions and flexible schedules for students 11 – 18 years of age. About half the teens who attend Halstrom Academy are those with careers in acting, music, modeling and sports who find that the flexible scheduling of classes does not compromise their aspirations and the level of their education. Some of the school’s famous alumni include actress Blake Lively and U.S. Olympic figure skater Sasha Cohen. Halstrom Academy’s unique one-on-one learning model has proven to be extremely successful with students who value the 1:1 personalized education or unique learners, such as those with ADHD who would normally struggle in a traditional 30-student classroom environment.
Halstrom Academy’s graduates have gone on to attend colleges and universities including UCLA, Stanford University, Loyola Marymount and London School of Business.
To date, 15,000 students have attended Halstrom Academy – from varied backgrounds and a wide range of learning abilities.
