Houston, TX - January 31st, 2013 - BullseyeEvaluation, LLC, has today announced its compliance with the ANSI SHRM Performance Management standard. The standard is designed as a guide for organizations to build, redesign, update or evaluate a performance management process.

In December 2012, The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved the performance management standard as the second national HR standard sponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The performance management standard provides employers with a uniform way to analyze and discuss their employees' job performances, including goal setting and performance improvement plans.

"The standard for employee performance management and improvement recognizes the key factor that drives our whole philosophy at Bullseye," said Louis Posthauer, Vice President, BullseyeEvaluation, LLC. "In other words the standard recognizes that frequent communication and feedback are the keys to higher employee performance and employee engagement."

Key components of the ANSI SHRM Performance Management Standards include:

  • A feedback process that is continuous so that employees know how they are doing and what is expected.
  • A dialogue that includes performance feedback measured against clear and specific goals and expectations that have been established at the outset of the performance management cycle.
  • Goal setting: the process of establishing objectives to be achieved over a period of time.
  • Performance review: the process of assessing progress toward goals.
  • Performance improvement plans: the process of addressing a specific individual performance issue.
  • Motivation and learning.
  • Coaching and mentoring.
  • Effective methods of recognition.
  • Effective methods of communication.

The standard is designed as a proposed set of minimum elements of a performance management system in three areas - goal setting, performance review and performance improvement plans.

"Bullseye facilitates frequent communications and appraisals in minutes rather than hours in a visual, intuitive, point & click system," commented, Adeel Zaidi, founder of Bullseye. "Having a continuous feedback process focuses every team, individual and the entire organization on the corporate goals."
