Central to the philanthropic mandate of Business Families Foundation (BFF) is collaborating with Universities to create sustainable regional and international educational hubs for the various constituents of family business. The Dutch Centre for Family Business and BFF will collectively promote a portfolio of family business learning initiatives composed of tailored educational offerings, both online and in-person, as well as work with other education institutions in developing applied research relevant to the field.
The Dutch Centre for Family Business based at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences and involved with Utrecht University, is one of the first institutions in The Netherlands to conduct research into family business dynamics, focusing on management and governance within the family business system. DCFB is proactive in the continuous development and dissemination of family business knowledge.
Business Families Foundation (BFF) is a non-profit philanthropy established 22 years ago that provides education and support to family enterprises around the world. Launched and nurtured by business families helping business families, in collaboration with universities and international partners, the mission of BFF is to empower entrepreneurial families and those who advise them to address and resolve their issues and, in so doing, help them grow, develop and endure as the economic backbone and social fabric of their communities.
The Dutch Centre for Family Business (DCFB) is an autonomous foundation with the ambition to develop initiatives that lead to knowledge development on specific characteristics of family businesses in the Netherlands and to disseminate knowledge to the advantage of family businesses in the Netherlands as well as other institutions. By being closely related to Utrecht University and based at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, DCFB aims to be the knowledge authority on family business management in the Netherlands.
