SCA Promotions provided the promotional risk coverage to Carmex for the contest, and it will pay Carmex $150,000 so it can write $75,000 checks to both Drysch and to James’ favorite charity, Boys and Girls Club of America which is supported by James.
Carmex ran a sweepstakes from April 2012 through January 2013, with Drysch of McHenry, Ill., winning the opportunity to fly to Miami to watch the Heat play the Detroit Pistons and then take one half-court shot at halftime to win $150,000 to be split between the winner and the Boys and Girls Club of America. Drysch’s right-handed hook hit the back of the rim and went through – resulting in a jubilant James hugging and tackling Drysch.

Carmex is getting fantastic exposure for its 75th anniversary and is celebrating with Drysch and James. Before the event, Carmex secured promotional risk coverage from SCA Promotions and paid a predefined fee. SCA will pay out the entire $150,000.
