Toledo, OH (PRWEB) January 31, 2013
The Ohio Automobile Dealers Association will manage three auto shows during February and March in Toledo, Dayton and Columbus to showcase new vehicles and trends shaping the industry that has a major impact on the Ohio economy.
Each show will feature exhibits from local automobile dealers and manufacturers, as well as displays of new makes and models, for consumers and car enthusiasts. Major automakers also will highlight innovations ranging from digital car features and automobile safety advancements to the latest in hybrid and electric vehicles.
“The auto industry has a tremendous impact on our state in terms of manufacturing, dealerships and the ancillary jobs that are created as a result of these economic activities,” said Marie Gilman, Auto Show Manager of the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association, based in Dublin, Ohio. “Our annual auto shows are a testament to the important role our industry plays in Ohio and provide a unique opportunity for consumers to get a glimpse of the new models that will be in showrooms throughout 2013.”
More than 800,000 jobs in Ohio – nearly one of every eight jobs – are tied to the auto industry, ranging from Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and Honda manufacturing plants and numerous suppliers to dealerships statewide representing all auto manufacturer brands. In all, more than 50,000 Ohioans are employed by auto dealerships.
