London, UK (PRWEB UK) 31 January 2013

Greetme is proud to announce an update to its eCards collection. The new startup is coming out with same-sex greeting cards just in time for Valentine’s Day to show its support for gay marriage.

Greeting cards are popular in the UK: 1 billion cards were sent last year. In America 7 billion cards change hands every year nationwide. Unfortunately, nearly none of those cards speak specifically to lesbian, gay or bisexual consumers.

“The purpose of greeting cards is to express feelings. Gay marriage may be a loaded subject and not legal everywhere, but the simple tradition of sending a card to your loved one is not something the gay community should be excluded from,” Greetme founder, Guy Cassidy says.

The update will roll out to all Greetme users next week.
