The case study describes how Orlando Health first engaged Pyramid to outsource aged receivables to free up in-house staff to work on easier-to-manage, younger accounts, thereby reducing staff time and associated overhead. The initiative also increased the percentage of aged receivables collected.

This project, the case study reveals, then expanded with Pyramid reviewing accounts where the primary payer denied payment or paid only in part, which involved signing directly into Orlando Health’s work queue and system to work on those accounts. This seamless integration and interface with Orlando Health’s host patient accounting system expedited account placement, note posting and invoicing.

Another service highlighted is Orlando Health’s use of Pyramid to survey patients to gain insight and unbiased feedback on their experiences with the business office with the goal to further improve customer service.
