Michele-Anne Hamilton, a young and much sought after photographer based in Kingston, Jamaica, whose art has been displayed on billboard in Times Square, New York, plus a myriad of photo competitions and exhibits, is now trying to take her art and passion to the next level by getting published in the International Masters of Photography Vol. 2. The prestigious hardcover is published by World Wide Art Books and distributed to galleries, museums, and libraries around the world and online.
In order to get published, Michele-Anne is promoting her project, “MichLan Photo - International Masters of Photography” on Select6.co/ to fundraise $2,000 USD with the help of friends, family, and fans to pay the printing and distribution costs. She is one of the first women entrepreneurs to spearhead a project on Select 6, a new crowdfunding website and startup accelerator featuring minority, women, and veteran (MWV)-led projects.
Special rewards for endorsing her project include downloadable images of Michele-Anne's award winning shots, e-surface prints, and enlarged photos from her diverse portfolio and places of travel like Brisbane and Sydney in Australia, Chicago, United States, and of course beautiful Jamaica.
Last year, World Wide Art Books launched the first volume of International Masters of Photography to highlight a collection of diverse works by master photographers from around the world, chosen by a committee of art professionals and curators put together by the publisher. Michele-Anne has been invited to participate in the second volume of this well-received title.
“Passion is an intense emotion that compels feeling, enthusiasm, or desire. Photography is that thing for me - it’s the one thing that I can remember always loving from a very young age. I love the challenge of getting that perfect composition for a shot, whether planned over time, or even more so at an event where quick thinking is imperative to ensure that moment is seized in its full glory. Those experiences really get my adrenaline going,” says Miss Hamilton. Michele-Anne can often be found capturing her next perfect shot at corporate events, music video shoots, photography studios, and traveling as much as she can.
World Wide Art Books was established in 1996, by Despina Tunberg, a curator and award winning artist herself who has appeared in many exhibitions around the world and owned a number of art galleries in Greece and the United States.
