Rush tickets are rocking. The reason: the popular Canadian rock band recently announced it would extend its celebrated Clockwork Angels Tour into 2013.

The rockers also announced that they would perform in a number of new markets not visited on last year’s tour. Tickets went on sale to the general public on January 25th, setting off a massive wave of search traffic for seats here and overseas, said Felina Martinez at online ticket marketplace

The Spring leg of this year’s trek opens in Austin, Texas on April 23, 2013. The group then heads on to Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Nashville, Raleigh, Virginia Beach, Baltimore, and Uncasville.

The band will also be visiting other American and Canadian locations, but those have not been named yet. The North American portion wraps in Atlantic City on May 11. The rockers then fly overseas for dates in England, Scotland, Holland, Germany, Sweden, and Finland.

Summer dates for the group are yet to be announced, but cities that have been included so far are: Hershey, Wantagh, Saratoga, Chicago, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Boston, Calgary, Vancouver, Portland, Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City and for the first time in decades, a return to Grand Rapids and Halifax. An announcement regarding the summer leg is expected soon.

“As we saw on last year’s tour, Rush has a solid worldwide following and it’s not unusual to see traffic spikes for the band,” said Martinez. “Because of the new cities, we’re seeing some of the venues starting to fill up quickly, overseas as well. Many of the concerts sell out closer to show time, but we still have a great inventory of tickets available.”

“In fact, we’re proud to be able to offer fans the most complete selection of Rush tickets, with a worry-free guarantee to protect their purchase,” said Martinez.
“To access the complete selection of cheap Rush tickets we now have available, customers can go to and search for Rush – then select their tickets,” said Martinez.

And not only are Rush tickets rocking, the band is on a roll. Formed in August 1968 near Toronto, Ontario, the band released its first self-titled album in 1974. Today, as a group, Rush possesses 24 gold records and 14 platinum (three multi-platinum) records. And, industry sales stats put them third behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band. (Source:

The band finished the second leg of its successful Time Machine Tour in July 2011. They released their newest studio album, Clockwork Angels in June of 2012 and began a support tour in September. Then last December, it was announced that Rush would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
