Since deploying IntelePACS across our organization, we’ve been able to increase our radiologists’ mobility, as they always have access to the same customized solution interfaces and viewer in order to read and report on studies.

Intelerad Medical Systems™, a leader in medical imaging PACS, RIS and workflow solutions, today announced that NationalRad have selected IntelePACS® to support their nationwide network of subspecialty radiologists. The solution was selected on a number of factors, including its scalability, image accessibility and a universal viewer and worklist that provides a consistent user experience for remote reading.
“As a highly distributed teleradiology group, it was important to deploy a solution that would provide radiologists with rapid access to studies no matter where they’re located,” said Karen Jodat, Chief Operating Officer, NationalRad. “Since deploying IntelePACS across our organization, we’ve been able to increase our radiologists’ mobility, as they always have access to the same customized solution interfaces and viewer in order to read and report on studies.”
Established in 1999, NationalRad provide over 100,000 subspecialty interpretations to approximately 125 clients per year. These customers include physician practices, imaging centers and radiology groups. Based in Deerfield Beach and Weston, Florida, their staff of 24 radiologists is spread across the U.S., with the majority working from home offices.
Since going live with IntelePACS in September, NationalRad have seen a tremendous increase in productivity due to solution’s ease of use, as well as the speed at which doctors can access studies and complete reports. These results have driven satisfaction rates with both NationalRad’s staff and customers.
“IntelePACS is designed to excel in highly distributed environments, which makes it the ideal solution for NationalRad,” said Randall Oka, President and CEO, Intelerad. “The solution is highly scalable which allows radiology groups to grow with ease, and by leveraging the solution’s Multi-Method Reporting™ module, which blends dictation, voice recognition and structured reports, radiology groups can drive productivity and maintain high standards of quality across their care network.”
