RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc., a leading provider of traffic safety products and services, today announced the appointment of Shady Hajjar as District Manager for the North Midwest District overseeing Romeoville, East Peoria, Crown Point, and Indianapolis branches. Shady will be responsible for all operations within the District including safety, staffing, production, inventory, revenue and earnings. He comes to RoadSafe with 8 years of expertise in the heavy highway industry working most recently as Senior Project Manager with a large Chicago-area general contractor. His responsibilities included estimating, production scheduling, purchasing and job costing while managing superintendents and subcontractors on jobs ranging from $1 million to $55 million. He has successfully supervised all financial aspects of these projects and has ensured timely and profitable project completions.
Shady has strong relationships in state and local government agencies and is active with the Illinois Road & Transportation Builders Association. According to David Meirick, RoadSafe’s Chief Operating Officer, “Shady is a proven leader with a strong commitment to safety and excellent management skills. We are very pleased to have him join our organization.” Shady is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
