Get festive and make golden fireworks to celebrate Chinese New Year with the kids.
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) February 26, 2013
Celebrate Chinese culture by making colorful and easy Chinese New Year activity crafts together with the kids. Make some snakes, since 2013 is the year of the snake.
Chinese New Year for kids can be a learning experience amid the fun. Kids Activities Blog is always up for celebrating a holiday with the kids. Chinese Culture activities are always fun and very colorful.
Materials needed to make the cute snake are colorful felt pieces, ribbon, and a button. Glue and a scissor are also essentials to make the cute snake. Cut out even size felt squares along with a slit to weave later on a button through. Cut a piece of ribbon that will be as long as the desired snake and hot glue a button to the end of a ribbon.
Let the kids have fun weaving through the felt pieces with the button. This activity will engage the kids motor skills. The fun felt snake will make a conversation piece for many more cultural learning experiences.
Another fun festive Chinese culture activity is making colorful Chinese fireworks. Materials needed are red card stock, gold paint, glue, glitter and stickers. Assemble the card according to the instructions provided on Kids Activities Blog. Let the kids have fun with the gold paint.
This card will make a great keepsake for family and friends. For detailed instructions and to get additional Chinese culture activities, check out Kids Activities Blog this month.
