Century Federal Credit Union (CFCU) celebrates 65 Years of serving members in Northeast Ohio. David Turner, Marketing Director says “CFCU has come a long way since being federally chartered in 1948 and providing value to our members day-in and day-out has made CFCU one of the largest credit unions in Northeast Ohio. If you're not a company offering credit union benefits and one of the 92 million people across the nation enjoying the benefits of credit unions, you're truly missing out!”
CFCU is a non-profit financial cooperative existing to serve its members, not to make a profit. Being a Select Employee Group (SEG) credit union, CFCU must first sign up an organization to offer its’ financial and financial wellness benefits to the organization's employees. Following sign-up, employees and their family members are eligible for membership.
As an employee of CFCU for half its existence, Pete Romano, Lending Manager for over 33 years reflects,"Strictly returning profits to members through lower interest rates and lower fees has resulted in CFCU's growth from $12 million and 12 employees to over $330 million in assets and 75 employees during my time here. In the beginning, I wore many hats and was responsible for many inter-departmental functions. I have experienced many good changes through the years, but one thing remains constant, and that is Century Federal Credit Union's commitment to offering the best services and products to our members. I am proud to be a part of Century Federal Credit Union."
Century Federal Credit Union (CFCU) serves the financial needs of over 28,000 members at hundreds of Select Employee Groups (SEG) throughout greater Cleveland, OH.
