Sault Ste. Marie’s Public Utilities Commission (SSMPUC) distributes electricity to residences and businesses within the boundaries of the City of Sault Ste. Marie as well as parts of Prince Township, Dennis Township and the Rankin Reserve. SSMPUC owns the water supply and distribution infrastructure and is responsible for the provision of safe, reliable, potable water at cost to customers within the municipal services boundary of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
The new system features Survalent’s highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: SmartVU, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequencing, Event Data Recording, SCADA Add-In, IED Wizard, Remote Alarm Annunciation, Master/Slave Alarm Suppression, Switch Order Preparation, and External Clock Interface.
