Baskervill Announces New Leaders

Baskervill is pleased to announce the promotion of new leaders within the firm. Bruce Brooks, AIA, and Bradley V. Richards, AIA, were named principals of the firm. Susan S. Orange, CID, Robert Tierney, AIA, and T.K. Farleigh, P.E., were named associate principals. Terri Callaway, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, was named senior associate.

Bruce Brooks, AIA | Principal
Bruce is a principal in the Health Care Group and the leader of BIM Innovations. During his 20 years in architecture, Bruce Brooks has earned tremendous experience as a project manager, designing various buildings within the healthcare industry. He has been the project architect on a wide range of buildings throughout Virginia, leading project teams from the schematic design phase through construction for clients such as University of Virginia Health System, Valley Health System, and Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. Bruce is a highly-sought after expert on code analysis and compliance and a member of several healthcare associations, including Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers (VSHE) and American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Bradley V. Richards, AIA | Principal
As a principal focused in the Hospitality sector, Brad Richards brings over ten years of experience and unique design approaches to the projects he supports for clients such as Marriott International, Hilton Hotels, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. His passion for architectural design combined with his belief that good design must be practical, in addition to being aesthetically pleasing, allows Brad to respond to clients’ needs by producing a product that far surpasses client expectations. Brad is an expert in ADA compliance and was a featured speaker for the Weinburg Land Use Forum on ADA accessibility. Brad is a former president of AIA Richmond. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Susan S. Orange, CID | Director of Workplace Strategies, Associate Principal
As director of workplace strategies, Susan builds upon her experience in the corporate interiors studio, where she helped to evolve the firm's corporate interiors studio into one of the most highly recognized interior design teams in the nation, evidenced by Baskervill's selection as a 2012 Top 100 Giant by Interior Design. Susan utilizes her considerable design expertise as director of workplace strategies to advance Baskervill's vision with our corporate clients. Her work on the Snagajob Headquarters project has earned numerous awards, including the Interior Design Excellence Award from the International Interior Design Association. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Robert Tierney, AIA | Director of Design, Associate Principal
Bob utilizes his extensive design expertise to advance Baskervill's vision, values, and purpose through excellence of design, ensuring Baskervill's clients receive the best design solution based on their needs. In that role, Bob cultivates younger design professionals within the firm, advances design education, and promotes Baskervill design within the community. He spoke on the process of design at a C3 breakfast meeting in 2012 and has been quoted in Inform, Hotel & Motel Management, and Hotel Design. Bob is a board member of the Richmond Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and is active with the Shockoe Design District. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

T.K. Farleigh, P.E. | Director of Engineering, Associate Principal
With over 23 years of experience designing electrical distribution systems and providing expert advice on mission critical environments, T.K. understands good communication is crucial to translating the needs of the client into reality. T.K.'s experience on a variety of project types gives him a solid foundation to create cost-effective solutions. He is an active member of the Society for American Military Engineers and the American Society of Professional Estimators. T.K. holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute.

Terri Callaway, AIA, LEED AP BD+C | Senior Associate, Architect
Terri Callaway has over 30 years of experience and strives to find creative and cost-effective solutions to design issues and provides true value to clients. Her leadership and skill as a project manager in the hospitality sector has made her a favorite among clients. Terri has worked on a variety of construction types including retail, hospitality, and state and federal government and currently focuses her work in the hospitality sector with clients such as Marriott International, Avalon Bay Communities, REVPAR, Apple REIT, and others. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
