Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) February 07, 2013
Cenegenics—the global leader in age management medicine—announces its sponsorship of the Elementary Principal Chair at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy. The annual chair sponsorship is the first of its kind at the public K-12 charter school, which opened in 2001 and educates the underserved youth in the Las Vegas community.
Cenegenics chose the sponsorship because of Agassi Prep’s commitment to superior education within and outside the classroom—one that builds character, becomes a portal for students to explore a new world of possibilities and instills a college mindset from elementary school onward. It’s that approach that helped Agassi Prep’s elementary school receive an “exemplary” designation in 2007, followed by a “high-achieving” designation in 2009 based on the school’s Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) status.
“Cenegenics greatly appreciates the significant impact the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy is making on the youths of our community. We are honored to sponsor the Elementary Principal Chair of this fine school, which is dedicated to academic excellence. Since education is the cornerstone for real change, our hope is that other organizations will mirror our endeavors and consider sponsoring a chair as well,” Cenegenics CEO/Founder John E. Adams said.
According to Agassi Prep, its most vital resource is a group of topnotch educators, administrators and staff who are committed to helping students reach their full potential.
“We are so proud to have Cenegenics sponsor the first-ever leadership position at Agassi Prep—the Cenegenics Elementary Principal Chair. Cenegenics’ sponsorship will provide needed funding for new and innovative programs at Agassi Prep. We are grateful to John and Janice Adams for their leadership,” Agassi Prep’s Executive Director Michael D. Piscal said.
Currently, that Elementary Principal Chair is held by Robin Harris, who feels Agassi Prep's special programs are true game changers for students, giving them a totally new perspective of what their future could hold.
“It is invigorating to go to work each day and see how the children are learning and progressing. Students learn to believe in themselves, that they can make a difference and that they can succeed. They learn that they have choices—and that education is the vehicle to give them those choices. Our students learn they can come back to their community and be the doctors, lawyers, teachers and professors,” Harris said.
