We are delighted to be able to manufacture our own timber frame panels in order to meet the increased demand for the energy efficiency and faster construction of our timber frame houses
Reading, Berkshire (PRWEB UK) 9 February 2013
Vision Development of Newbury (http://www.timber-frame-suppliers.co.uk) is pleased to announce that, in order to meet increased demand, it has opened its own timber frame panel manufacturing facility in Beenham, near Reading Berkshire. This new factory has provided jobs for several skilled craftsmen and an apprentice in the Reading area.
Managing Director Tim Karpinski says "We are delighted to be able to manufacture our own timber frame panels in order to meet the increased demand for the energy efficiency and faster construction of our timber frame houses."
Vision Development supplies and erects timber frame buildings across Berkshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire. Timber frame buildings are faster to build and less costly than those built using more traditional methods of construction. Also, timber frame buildings are more energy efficient resulting in lower heating costs due to their better insulating properties.
A timber frame house is constructed with a number of pre-manufactured panels which have been factory built to exact specifications. Because of this a timber frame house can be rapidly erected once the panels have been delivered to site. Unlike brick construction, it is possible to erect a timber frame house in adverse weather conditions. Also, the timber frame panels provide a weather proof shell for other building trades to carry out their work. It is possible to build a timber frame house in 16 to 20 weeks and this timescale is largely unaffected by the prevailing weather conditions. See http://www.timber-frame-suppliers.co.uk/timber-frame-information/timber-frames for the benefits of timber frame construction.
The timber frame panels manufactured by Vision Development are built with wood from PEFC certified sources making this form of construction most environmentally friendly (especially so when energy efficiency is also considered).
The panels being manufactured are for a new timber frame development near Reading in Berkshire. Construction of the new houses will begin in a few weeks when the manufacturing work has been completed.
