London,UK (PRWEB UK) 11 February 2013
Ilya Segalovich, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Russian search engine Yandex, will keynote the International Search Summit London on 14th May.
Speaking for the first time at ISS/SMX, Ilya will offer unique insight into the technology, vision and ambitions of the most successful search engine in Russia. The keynote will take the form of a “fireside chat”, moderated by ISS chair Andy Atkins-Krüger and SMX chair Chris Sherman and will cover topics from personalisation to machine learning, the complex Russian language to international expansion.
With a web population of 86 million, Russia is the largest internet market in Europe and with around 60% of all Russian searches taking place on Yandex, any business targeting Russia online needs to have Yandex at the heart of its strategy and campaigns. Internet penetration and ecommerce are both continually increasing in Russia, making it a market worthy of attention from global brands.
Andy says, “Yandex is one of the only search engines in the world to rival Google, and its position as the market leader in Russia remains strong. We are delighted to welcome Ilya to the International Search Summit and believe this is a rare opportunity for delegates to learn about Yandex and all it has to offer, from one of the people instrumental in its success.”
“Ilya’s keynote promises to be fascinating for anybody involved in search marketing – whether they are currently targeting Russia or not”.
The International Search Summit will take place on 14th May, 2013 as part of SMX London. Other speakers at the event will include Aleyda Solis, Gianluca Fiorelli and Anders Hjorth. The conference is dedicated to international and multilingual search marketing topics and challenges, and is ideal for in-house and agency marketers involved in international projects.
