“Our goal is to present often complicated material in an engaging and entertaining format that lends itself to our audience members actually remembering the subject matters we cover. Studies show that educated boards result in healthier communities."

Maitland / Orlando, FL (PRWEB) February 13, 2013

Katzman Garfinkel & Berger (KGB), the leader in community association law in Florida, announced that its popular Board Member Boot Camp® training seminar will be offered in the greater Orlando metro area on Saturday, March 9th at the Orlando National Guard Armory.
On the morning of Saturday, March 9th, “General” Donna DiMaggio Berger, Founding Partner of KGB and Executive Director of the firm’s Community Advocacy Network will arrive at the Orlando National Guard Armory with her fellow “Officers”—veteran community association attorneys—to present this interactive and free educational seminar.

“Traditionally, the information that volunteer directors and managers need to know in order to do their jobs well has been presented in a dry, overly legal manner by most law firms,” Ms. Berger said. “Our goal is to present often complicated material in an engaging and entertaining format that lends itself to our audience members actually remembering the subject matters we cover. Studies show that educated boards result in healthier communities.”

Board Member Boot Camp® combines a military-themed afternoon of fun with a challenging curriculum approved by the State of Florida to satisfy certification requirements for newly appointed or elected directors together with 5 hours of continuing education credits for managers who attend.

Board Member Boot Camp®, now in its fifth year, has been highly praised by experts, directors and managers throughout Florida and is regarded as one of the most popular educational options available for director certification. Board Member Boot Camp® is also recommended for association residents who are interested in learning more about the commitment needed to become active in and contribute to their boards and communities.

KGB plans to hold three (3) Board Member Boot Camps® in 2013 with the March 9th Orlando event being the first of the year. As with all its classes, the Board Member Boot Camp® is free and refreshments are served throughout the day.

Board Member Boot Camp® will be held on Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at the Orlando National Guard Armory, 2809 S. Ferncreek Avenue, Orlando Florida 32806, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
