Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 11, 2013

Fortify Ventures is proud to announce the new class of startups to enter its 20-week accelerator program.

Each startup will receive $25,000 in initial funding, and take part in a program designed to grow their business, raise capital, and develop meaningful relationships with mentors, strategic partners and customers.

“In their first week, the entrepreneurs are fully engaged with mentors, and are benefiting from the experience and wisdom of speakers from startups throughout the country,” said Carla Valdes, General Partner of Fortify Ventures. Fortify has developed a program to accelerate teams by providing guidance and education on topics such as product design, hiring, product-market fit, gaining traction, and fundraising.

“Our previous class was successful fundraising during the program and since Investor Day (Demo Day) with an impressive aggregate of $5 Million raised,” said Jonathon Perrelli, Managing Director of Fortify Ventures. “We’re excited to build on this and provide an unmatched experience and accelerated growth for the Spring participants.”

Graduation / Investor Day for the current class is scheduled for May 23, 2013.

Fortify Ventures has also relocated its office, referred to as “The Fort,” and has become an anchor tenant in DC’s newest tech campus 1776. “Being part of a diverse entrepreneurship community and supporting the tech ecosystem has always been a core goal of Fortify and we are excited to make this symbolic alignment as the 1776 initiative and campus develops,” said Perrelli.
