"Montecristo cigars are a huge favorite within the cigar community,"

The three new additions are Montecristo Classic No. 2 Belicosos, Montecristo Habanitos and Montecristo Platinum Churchill Tubos.
"Montecristo cigars are a huge favorite within the cigar community," notes Nick Gordon, TrueTobacco.com's general manager. "They combine high quality with an affordable price point. We're happy to be giving our customers an even better selection of Montecristo cigars."
These new offerings join TrueTobacco's.com's already extensive lineup of over 2,000 cigar and cigar-related products.
Montecristos are one of the best-known cigar brands in the world. Each shape and size presents a distinctly different smoking experience. These smoking experiences share something in common, though. They each provide exceptional flavor, a satisfying burn and a sensual draw.
TrueTobacco's Montecristo cigars are made by hand in the Dominican Republic by Atladis, a subsidiary of Imperial Tobacco.
The brand got its name from the novel by Alexandre Dumas. Legend has it that in the early days of the cigar industry, factory owners hired readers to keep their cigar rollers from becoming too bored while they worked. "The Count of Monte Cristo," a tale of incalculable riches and painstaking revenge, was such favorite with the rollers that cigar manufacturers Alonzo Menendez and Pepe Garcia decided to name their new product line after it.
Montecristo Classic No. 2 Belicoso
Cigar lovers expect something spectacular from Montecristo, and the Classic No. 2 Belicoso does not disappoint. This premium cigar uses a medium strength Dominican binder and filler tobaccos, and a light tan Claro wrapper.
Belicosos are generally 5 ½ inches by 14 centimeters, with a ring gauge of 52. The distinctive conical head shape intensifies aroma and flavors. A Belicoso generally takes about one hour to smoke.
Habanitos are Montecristo's take on the popular "little" cigar. They use a mild Dominican binder and filler tobaccos and a silky, light golden brown Connecticut wrapper. They are eight inches by five inches.
Montecristo Platinum Churchill Tubos
Churchill cigars are named after Sir Winston Churchill, arguably the most famous cigar aficionado of all times. Sir Winston routinely smoked between six and ten cigars a day, and he kept several thousand in reserve at Chartwell, his country estate.
Sir Winston's favorite cigar brand was Romeo y Julieta, which was purchased from its original owners in 1903 by cigar impresario Pepin Fernandez Rodriguez. Rodriguez created the Churchill, a seven-inch long smoke with a ring gauge of 47.
Rodriguez subsequently launched a number of cigars named after celebrities, but the Churchill is the only one that has survived the test of time.
Churchills are not for novice cigar smokers. Many beginners make the mistake of trying to smoke Churchills too quickly, which results in a harsh, acrid smoking experience.
The Montecristo Platinum Churchill Tubo uses medium strength Dominican tobaccos and a Dominican binder with a silky gold Connecticut wrapper. The cigars come packaged in a metal tube ("tubo"). The tubes are lined with cedar. The tubes preserve cigar freshness, and also lend a flavorful cedar undernote to the smoke's flavor. This cigar should take about an hour ad a half to smoke.
With the addition of these three great new stogies, TrueTobacco rounds out its Montecristo collection. TrueTobacco.com now carries 45 different types of Montecristo cigars. For lovers of Montecristo cigars, TrueTobacco.com is the go-to place to stock up on their favorite stogie.
