Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) February 19, 2013
BLUERIDGE Analytics®, provider of SITEOPS® optimization software for land development, proudly announces the release of a free topography and aerial imagery download called SITEOPS Topo Lite. This exciting tool allows anyone to download aerial imagery and topography for any location within the U.S. and for use in any CAD design software.
In the world of land development, the site plan is what makes or breaks a project. The most challenging part of creating a site plan is often collecting site information, such as aerial imagery and topography, which is used as the basis for creating the plan. Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects and Architects are looking for an easy way to gather aerial imagery and topography in the early stages of their projects. In response to this need, BLUERIDGE Analytics has created SITEOPS Topo Lite, a free internet based service. With SITEOPS Topo Lite, site designers are able to simply enter a site address and within minutes have a DWG file for use in creating their site plans.
“Here at BLUERIDGE Analytics, we solve problems for the land development design community. SITEOPS Topo Lite, our newest tool, does just that, allowing designers to get site data anywhere in the U.S. within minutes. Traditionally, this is a process that can take hours, or in some cases days. BLUERIGE Analytics specializes in making the lives of site designers easier by allowing them to spend more time looking at different design options for sites instead of wasting hours retrieving the data required to get started.” said Mike Detwiler, President and CEO at BLUERIDGE Analytics.
SITEOPS Topo Lite allows users to get data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) via a simple webpage interface accessed on http://www.siteops.com . Users can then download a DWG file of their selected region. The file contains aerial imagery and topography in the form of polyline with attached elevation data. The DWG file can then be opened by any Autodesk®, Bentley®, Carlson® or other CAD software. The DWG file can also be directly downloaded into SITEOPS land planning software, where users can create site plans, grading plans and budgets for the downloaded area in hours instead of days or weeks. The ability to quickly deliver site plans and cost options for clients to use in land development decisions can differentiate any design firm from its competitors.
SITEOPS (http://www.siteops.com) is patented land development software provided by Charlotte-based BLUERIDGE Analytics. SITEOPS can deliver cost-optimized conceptual site designs and cost estimates in hours instead of weeks, saving users thousands of dollars in unnecessary man hours during site planning. SITEOPS offers speed and ease of use that allows Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects and Architects to create and revise plans for clients at the touch of a button. Clients include Stantec, EXP, Lowe's Home Improvement, Aurecon, Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, Duke Realty, AECOM, US Army Corps of Engineers and many other firms worldwide.
