The Facebook page has become a thriving hub for the Manchester United striker since it's launch and now boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing community of fans. The Facebook page along with Danny Welbeck player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
A tall and gracefully athletic forward with great pace and the ability to play on the wing, he also possesses excellent technique and an easy on the eye playing style.
Part of the Red Devils side that reached the final of the 2007 FA Youth Cup while still a schoolboy, Danny signed scholarship forms that summer and found himself on the bench for the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona in May 2008.
While he didn’t make it onto the field that day, he made his full debut in September 2008 at the age of 17 and followed that up with a stunning 30-yard strike on his maiden Premier League appearance.
The Manchester-born front man has scored further goals in both domestic cups and really made his breakthrough on loan at Sunderland in 2010-11, earning a first England cap and developing his game and his confidence ahead of a return to his parent club.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say: “Danny Welbeck really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Manchester United and England in recent times, and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
“All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for Danny Welbeck.”
DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player Profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
